Scanners produce documents where some pages are landscape, some are upside down, and only some need fixing. Each page here has its own rotate button, so you can turn one page ninety degrees and leave the rest alone — you can see exactly which pages are wrong because you are looking at them.
The rotation is added to whatever the page already carried and written into the saved file. That matters: some tools only change the viewing hint, and the page springs back when the document is printed or opened elsewhere. Here the page is genuinely turned.
A document that arrived as a set of separate scans works the same way: drop them all in and each page is turned individually, whichever file it came from. Nothing is written until you download, so a page turned the wrong way is one more press rather than a mistake you have to save your way out of.

Can I rotate a single page rather than the whole document?
Yes. Rotation is per page — hover any page and press its rotate button. Pressing it four times returns to where you started.
Will the rotation stick when I print the file?
Yes. The turn is written into the page itself rather than left as a viewer preference, so printing and other readers agree with what you saw.
My scan is already sideways before I touch it. Why?
Because that is how the scanner recorded it, and the thumbnail shows the page as any reader would. Rotate it here and the saved file is upright everywhere.
